A big thanks to Nellie's Restaurant for holding a fabulous community event to benefit Friends of Faith on February 25th. Lots of people came to enjoy Nellie's delicious soul food, to hear some soul-stirring music and several lucky people walked away with great raffle prizes.
A few photos are included below, but to see all the photos, go to photographer J. D. Harris' page on Smugmug.com. Thanks J. D. for all of the photos that really captured the fun of the Nellie's Breast Cancer Awareness Day.Miss Nellie--restaurant owner, Nellie Ozen--her daughter, co-owner Quinette (first from left) and restaurant G. Thanks to Friends of Faith super volunteer, Lynne Belmont (seated, far right), for arranging to have our organization receive a portion of the proceeds from a "Have A Heart Party" in February. Lynne gathered several of her artist friends--shown in the photo below--to sell their creations at the party.
Thanks to the Eileen Fisher Outlet in San Leandro for choosing Friends of Faith as the recipient of funds from their Breast Cancer Awareness Day on November 16, 2013. The store donated a percentage of their sales for the entire day to FOF and FOF members were there to solicit individual donations from customers. The total given to FOF on that day was more than $4,000.

Our special thanks to Brighton Collectibles for once again teaming up with Friends of Faith for a fun Power of Pink party at their Broadway Plaza store in Walnut Creek. There was great music provided by KISS 98.1 Radio and guests shopped while sipping champagne. Brighton donated $2,207.00--a portion of the proceeds from the evening and from sales of their beautiful Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelet during the month of October--to Friends of Faith.

Friends of Faith recently hosted a "Meet the Media" Event - which featured a tour of the ABC-7 Studios, a "live" viewing of the 6 o'clock News, and a chat with Anchors Dan Ashley, Carolyn Johnson and Spencer Christian.
The excitement was followed by hors d'oeuvres and cocktails hosted by Piperade Restaurant and a meet and greet with some very familiar Bay Area Media Personalities. Many thanks to ABC-7, the folks at Piperade Restaurant and the Bay Area Media Personalities who joined in the festivities.
